So there I was, Monday morning, recovering from maybe a few Thanksgiving weekend excesses, staring at the screen. The site was ready. The first products were ready. The only thing hanging in the balance was whether I was ready.
And sometimes, let’s be honest, you’re never really sure whether you’re ready or not.
So I hit send on the Facebook post announcing that we were live and then I did what any self-respecting new business owner does.
I ran away. Well, I dashed off to a meeting and tried really, really hard to ignore the comments on said Facebook post. Until an order came through. And then another. That’s when I did a super quiet, inside my head, happy dance – because meeting and all.
I wasn’t sure I was ready, but the outpouring of support and, well, yes, orders, has truly helped me get there.
It’s a small start, but a good one. I’m learning as I go. Making mistakes. Discovering things I probably should have known before I hit launch. Having fun. And, yes, coming to grips with my shortcomings.
Monday the first course starts and I’m sure I’ll feel a whole new brand of trepidation, but until then, I’m just excited and proud.
Have you signed up? Don’t delay, there are just a few spots left in Monday’s course!
