There’s a challenge that comes from starting a business that no one else appears to be running. You spend a lot of time wondering if you really are at the forefront of the next big “thing,” or if you’re the only one in this space because there truly isn’t a market for it.
In this case, I do believe there’s a market for journal prompts delivered via email. We’re all busy. We all know that journaling just a few minutes a day can help us cope with every day stresses, give us a chance to set and meet goals, and even incrementally improve our health. But we also know that sometimes, there’s just no time, or we have no idea what to write, or we get overwhelmed by everything else in our lives and we simply forget to pull out a pen and a notebook and take 5 minutes for ourselves, even if we know that’s all it takes to put a little extra joy in our lives.
Receiving an inspiring prompt via email every day is the gentle nudge we need to take that time and do something good for ourselves.
That said, even if I am convinced that The Zen Pencil is meeting a need, there’s another challenge to face.
When you’re selling something that a dozen other people are selling, you only need to prove that you have the best of the products that are available to your customers.
But when you’re selling something that no one else is selling, you have to convince people that they need and want it.
I realize that asking people to simply pull out their credit card and trust me, on my word, about how much daily prompts from The Zen Pencil will improve their lives, might be asking a bit much. For all you know, I might be pawning off prompts I pulled from the backs of cereal boxes (I’m not, I promise…) instead of carefully crafting prompts that I really believe will inspire you to think and write.
And I really want you to have the chance to be inspired to think and write.
So I’m giving away a sampling of the prompts from this season’s course load for free.
Fill out this form and I’ll send you 3 FREE prompts. Starting tomorrow morning you’ll receive a short series of prompts designed to show you the magic in store for you if you sign up for a full course from The Zen Pencil.
What are you waiting for? Don’t you want to be happier?
